Tinman
Studios is located at "Quinta De Figuerinha" in Silves, close
to Silves Castle, in the Algarve Portugal.
The sound recording
studio is surrounded by fields and orchards, nestling in 36
hectares of bio-agricultural farmland, with beautiful beaches
only minutes away.
A comfortable lounge, which is equipped with television, DVD,
& broadband internet access, provides the ideal place to
relax. Our restaurant offers a full menu, with lunches and
evening meals. There are also several apartments and a
spacious house to accommodate our visiting clients.
The international Airport at Faro can be reached by car in 45
minutes.
Studio Control Room
Tinman studios is equipped with the latest hardware and software for track laying, mixing and mastering. The heart of the control room is a Carillon AC Core3
Computer, an i7 860 2.8GHz PC. with 4 Cores and 8 threads, 16GB DDR3 RAM, a 500GB Seagate Hard Disk and two 1TB Seagate Hard Disk Drives plus 3 Port Ti Firewires to connect with our two Steinberg MR816X audio interfaces.
Our two MR816X fuse fully featured FireWire interfaces and inbuilt DSP FX power with next-generation integrative technologies. Developed by Steinberg and Yamaha, the interfaces are the centerpiece of our latency-free recording and monitoring environment and fully exploit the flexibility and power of our
DAW,
Steinberg Cubase 6. The control room is equipped with Mackie Control Universal delivering full hands-on control over our music production software.
Our principal monitoring is done via two KRK V 2 Series
active monitors, hallmarked by defined low end, articulate midrange and precise highs, delivering clarity and accuracy.
Tinman Studios has a variety of software based synths and
plugins, vintage microphones plus a wide range of digital processing including the UAD Powered
Plug-Ins, the world’s most authentic analog hardware emulations.
When it comes to the final mixing conversion process, the DSD (Direct Stream Digital) technology from
our professional digital audio production suite, Sound Forge™ Pro 10
software, efficiently and reliably provides audio editors and producers complete control over all aspects of audio editing and mastering. It's the ultimate all-in-one production suite for professional audio recording and mastering, sound design, audio restoration, and Red Book CD creation.
Live Area
Our track laying "live area" is a spacious 7m x 4.20m which can easily accommodate up to 10 musicians simultaneously. The studio's acoustics offer a supremely warm and clear sound, perfect for numerous types of recording. The live area also has natural daylight which overlooks our terraces and expansive countryside.
